Support The World Children's Choir

World Children's Choir budget was hit hard by cancellations of two concerts and the annual gala/silent auction during the lockdown mandated by the pandemic. We need raise $5,000 to complete the fiscal year ending August 31, 2020. Contributions of any amount will be greatly appreciated.

The World Children's Choir is a non-profit organization run entirely off the generous donations from family, friends, community sponsors, and foundation grants.

It is with your help that the choir can continue to support children in the local community and touch those in need worldwide.

Volunteers are always welcome and a great way to support both the choir and the community. If you are interested in lending your time to our organization, please contact our choir director, Sondra Harnes, at: 703-883-0920 or

Our Sponsors

The World Children's Choir would like to thank its many contributors and sponsors throughout the community. It is from their generous contributions that we are able to provide artistic training and performing opportunities for children from all economic levels and give a voice to the needs of children's causes worldwide.

Reyhan Safoglu Memorial Scholarship

Reyhan passed to Heaven in a tragic accident last summer. To honor Reyhan’s life, and her beautiful voice, heart and spirit, World Children’s Choir has established a scholarship in her name. Reyhan sang with World Children’s Choir for seven years, and was a private voice student of the choir’s artistic director. She was much loved by her fellow singers and all who knew her. Reyhan, full of joi de vivre, always smiling and ready to do anything, was an inspiration and a leader. She loved and lived her short life to the absolute fullest. Besides singing she was a very talented athlete, playing many sports, and also an instrumentalist. She particularly enjoyed and excelled on her cheer dance team, and competed nationally. Although all of us who knew and loved Reyhan are devastated, we know she is truly singing with the angels in the Heavenly Choir. We extend our love and deepest sympathies to her family. We will keep her close in our hearts and minds forever. Until we meet again, we love you, precious girl.
