The goal of WCC’s arts/peace camp is to bring children together from diverse cultures and countries, and there, by using various art forms, to visualize a peaceful world and to explore skills needed to build peace. WCC desires to encourage creativity in an environment of self-esteem and mutual respect that helps to develop the many benefits of artistic and peace training for children — more creative, imaginative, expressive, confident, self-reliant and critically thinking individuals who develop increased empathy, more capable and cooperative problem-solving, leadership skills, cognitive growth, the fostering of social bonds and improved self-sufficiency.
