Dear Friends,

We hope you will enjoy this collection of very beautiful songs of love, hope, and inspiration written by James Selway and recorded live in performances given between 2001 and 2004 by the World Children's Choir and children from the Washington, DC area who attended our Singers ONSTAGE! summer performing arts day camp. The singers range in age from four through eighteen.

We Must Dream is being released to inaugerate the World Children's Choir Fifteenth Anniversary Season. In addition to giving five Seasonal Concerts, the Choir will sponsor a Voices for Children Festival and Concert to benefit Save the Children (savethechildren.org).

In July, 2005, the Choir will sponsor its first Voices for Children Arts/Peace Camp. Children and teens from the Middle East will be invited to attend and present their artistic work, to share their personal and cultural stories with American students, and to work together to create a multi-media concert to be given at the end of the camp.

Thoughts from the Composer

There are so many urgent needs in our world today. Children are starving, homeless, abused, torn from their families as the tides of terror and war scar our planet. We can and must continue to inspire each other to do what we can to make a better world. 
We must never give up our dreams. We must never give up the hope that all children can be safe, can be fed, can be healthy, can be happy, and that they can indeed grow into a bright future.

The extraordinary voices trained in the bel canto method by Sondra Harnes have been a tremendous inspiration for the songs I have written. 

I feel privileged to have these songs performed and recorded by the World Children's Choir and singers of Harnes Selway Arts, all trained by Sondra. I cannot imagine these songs sung more radiantly and beautifully.

We are very pleased the World Children's Choir is contributing $5.00 per CD of retail sales to Save the Children.
