World Children’s Choir - Opera Ensemble

Artistic Goals:
Develop and Polish Vocal, Musical and Theatrical Skills

The Opera Ensemble is for singers with well-developed solo voices.

Repertoire: focus is on opera; other repertoire includes operetta, oratorio, madrigals, chamber music

All music is sung in the Italian Bel Canto Style.

Singers perform in WCC season concerts, special events with WCC, as an ensemble for retirement homes, weddings, and schools

Singer Age: High school students ages14 - 18 (younger singers with permission of directors)

Tuesday Weekly Rehearsal: 8:15 PM – 9:45 PM (extra weekend rehearsals may be held from time to time)

One Saturday per month: 8:15 AM - Noon

Extra Rehearsals: Tuesday and Thursday evening before December, March, and May Season Concerts
